Krause, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Edgewood Vista in Virginia.Walter Arthur Krause was born June 17, 1926 in Eveleth to Arthur and Helmi (Dixon) Krause. He attended Virginia High School. Following high school, Walter enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during WWII in the Pacific Theater. On June 13, 1950, he was united in marriage to Mary Helen Jones. Walter was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Virginia, retiring in 1981.Walter was an avid bowler and was a member of several leagues at the Plaza Bowl and the Virginia Bowling Gardens. He spent many happy vacations on Ash River Trial and wintered in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
